One of the things that people always tell you about traveling to Japan is "Japan is a very expensive place." I don't doubt that, but it worries me because saving for it is going to hurt me. Basically all my money is going to be wiped out by this trip. Not a fun thought at all. Of course, I have to look at why this is happening. For starters when most people go to another country they save for a year or two before they make the trip. I had a five month head start, and bills do need to get paid while I've saving. This trip was also decided late in the game, so I guess I should consider myself blessed that I managed to save the money. Plus there will be two paychecks waiting for me when I get home (as well as a pay raise), so I'm not too concerned about the long run. This may cause a bit of a setback in getting a house, but oh well: Houses will be around forever. A chance to go to Japan is a lot rarer.

Hello everyone! Kevin T. Rodriguez here. I have created yet another blog. This blog is more of a diary though about the trip to Japan I am about to embark on (and all the events leading up to it). This will be of little interest outside of anyone in my family or friends, but feel free to comment on any posts if you feel anyway. Spammers will not be tolerated, and the blog will officially end once the trip ends.
